Rosti

This iconic Swiss dish is made up of potatoes cooked in the style of a fritter. While it can be eaten just like that, Rosti can also be topped with cheese, mushrooms, onions and corn for an increased variety of flavours.

This dish was a common breakfast dish eaten mainly by farmers in the olden days though today, it is a popular cuisine all over the country. It’s a delicious treat and a great way to start the morning during your vacation.

Fondue

Fondue is considered to be a national dish of Switzerland and is highly popular in the resort towns of the Alps. This traditional Swiss dish is made using gruyere cheese mixed with wine and melted in a pot over a portable stove. It’s a communal dish, one eaten with boiled potatoes and dipping bread so a great choice for a family meal.
