JEDDAH – 3 TOP ATTRACTIONS YOU SHOULD VISIT

Put these 3 modern tourist attractions on your list for an entertaining itinerary on your trip to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia‘s second-largest city. The city is home to a plethora of wonderful museums and ancient buildings, but it’s also known for its modern attractions plus an incredible number of Guinness World Records.

Silver Sands Beach

Silver Sands Beach, a private beach on the Red Sea is blessed with soft white sand and beautiful azure waves. There’s an entrance fee to get in and it includes access to the beach, use of the washrooms and change rooms, and access to a variety of beach chairs for sunbathing. In addition, there is a small cafe that serves drinks and light meals. While this private Jeddah beach can get crowded on weekends, it’s a terrific place to relax, swim, snorkel, and dive in the beautiful crystal clear waters.

Fakieh Aquarium

Fakieh Aquarium, Saudi Arabia’s only public aquarium, will appeal to you no matter your age. Over 200 marine animals, including sharks, sea lions, stingrays, and seahorses, are housed in this aquatic zoo in Jeddah. A live dolphin performance is also available, as well as the option to swim with the friendly dolphins for an additional cost. Pick up a colourful souvenir at one of the many retail shops after the aquarium tour, then dine on delicious seafood at Blue Ocean Restaurant.

Jeddah Lighthouse

The Jeddah Lighthouse, which stands on the north side of the Jeddah Islamic Seaport, is the world’s tallest lighthouse. The active lighthouse stands 133 meters tall, surpassing in structural height “any other traditional and non-traditional lighthouse in active service,” according to Guinness World Records. While people are not authorized to enter the seaport, surrounding tourist attractions like the Central Fish Market and the Corniche Commercial Center provide a lovely view of the lighthouse as well as vessels coming and going from the pier. You’ll find the Jeddah Lighthouse to be especially beautiful at night.
