Best Spots to Visit In Taif Part 2

Taif is a place with so many incredible spots to visit and while we already took a look at some of those amazing destinations before, there are still more that you should make a point to visit.

Al Faisaliah Garden

Al Faisaliah Garden is one of the most relaxing locations to visit in Taif and features various fountains, slides, swings, and lounging spots. The garden is very well-kept and quite famous for barbecues.

One of the best places here where you can unwind would be the dancing fountain.

Shubra Palace

The City Palace is a lovely mansion erected by Sheriff Ali Pasha in 1905. The inside of the palace is built of Carrara marble and has lattice windows and balconies. Formerly the residence of King Abdulaziz, it is now the residence of King Faisal. It is open 24 hours a day and admission is free.

Shubra Palace lies about 3.1 km from Taif’s city centre making it a convenient stop for any tourist.

Green Mountain Park/ Resort

Green Mountain Park is a theme park on Taif’s Alhada Street. Tourists may rest and unwind amid the park’s lush nature. Green Mountain Park is a particularly favourite destination for families and children.

The rides are exciting and entertaining, especially for younger children. The Park’s Roller Coaster is a major attraction here and there are also 7D and 9D movie zones, which can be thrilling to experience.

The Taif Souq

Taif Souq Market, one of Taif’s largest markets, is a beautifully restored historical centre and a must-see locale. Visitors can browse the stalls for handcrafted items, rose water, local honey and refreshing mint tea.

Taif Central Market

Taif Central Market is a narrow passageway that passes along many a sand-coloured building and leads to a quaint square. A section of the themed area is dedicated to fragrances, particularly oil and rose water, Islamic dress, jewellery and delicious local honey.

Several shops sell exquisite jewellery made from gold mined near Madinah, while street jewellers with torches work on silver rings. Roasted milk, knives, wood and herbs are also readily available.
