Shipwreck Beach on the Greek island of Zakynthos is only accessible by sea and is one of the most lovely beaches in Greece. The beach is made up of fine white pebbles and is set in a crescent-shaped cove surrounded by towering cliffs that extend outward into the sparkling cerulean sea where sea caves can be found.

Shipwreck Beach is located in Smuggler’s Cove on the island’s west coast and is named after the wreck of a ship smuggling contraband that washed ashore here in 1980. You can reach the beach by taking a taxi boat from the harbour in Agios Nikolaos on Zakynthos’ northern coast. There are also day trips available which include this beach as part of the package.
